Bush Blames Polls on 'Battle Fatigue'

President Bush yesterday blamed his dismal job-approval ratings not on anything he's done wrong, but on a nationwide case of "battle fatigue" over the war in Iraq, the standoff with Iran and high gas prices.Bush said he "understands" why Americans are feeling pessimistic about the future -- but he urged them to be patient and said the growing public disapproval over his policies isn't changing his mind about anything.
"My job is to make decisions based on what I think is right," he told reporters from seven Florida newspapers yesterday during a roundtable interview.
Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result is the functional definition of madness. The rest of us are more than competent to see that the disconnected fratboy is an idiot.

Then he's the only guy on the planet with that job. Everybody else who's paid to make decisions is expected to make them on their best efforts to impliment the organization's goals and ideals in light of the best available information.
Just try (those of you who, unlike me, have jobs) telling your boss, next time he or she asks why you did what you did (even if it was f'n brilliant) "I thought it was the right decision" instead of something like "well, I observed X, and Y indicates that when faced with X we should do Z" where Y is "my professional experience" or "best practices in our profession" or "the procedure manual" or the charter or the law or code. Do it a couple of times and you can join me for lunch without the inconvenience of scheduling around work.
Remember, this guy has never actually held down a job, just a bunch of sinecures. He has no clue and that ain't likely to change. Remember, he's the wealthy child of parents who just don't let their children fail. He's an idiot who is the creation of his parents. Welcome to the world of the legacy C students at Ivy schools. It is not a pretty picture of the class running our country, but the idiot parents seem comfortable with it.
Of course, their trust funds are completely insultated from the bullshit going on right now.
