Irony Abounds
Is it just me or does any one else find it ironic that CNN can go wall to wall about the "rule of law" about Zaccaria Moussaoi and "illegal immigrants" while completely ignoring the numerous and egregious violations of the Constitution commited by Bush and Co?

This story amazed me this morning -- after the major production number the prosecution did, that Moussaoui's jury should still have resisted the death penalty made me feel hopeful about American citizens and about your justice system -- in so far as it is given the chance to operate as designed.
skdadl,
You won't get the real news about this from CNN, which isn't really a news channel. Reading in between the lines, it sounds like the defense team did a really good job in the face of incredibly blood thirsty US media demanding Moussaoui's head as payment for 9/11. The man is a clearly delusional head case who was in jail on 9/11 and imagines himself an Al Qaidi mucky muck.
I just read the WaPo article by Andrew Cohen (who is one of ours, btw), analysing the jury's votes on various separate factors. That made my head spin.
You probably know that we don't do this sort of thing in Canada: here, a judgement is a judgement, and the jury are never supposed to speak of what went on among them afterwards. After reading Cohen, I don't know what to think.
